It's been a long time coming but The Polish Ambassador is finally making his way down to Los Angeles. For the first show, I'll be playing with a group called Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt based out of New York State I believe. They seem like a rowdy crowd. The venue will be The Echo. This goes down on March 31st. You can view the facebook event here. Get your tickets fast, between the both of us, it might sell out!! The second show is on April 24th at Spaceland/Club NME. I'll be playing a little bit later at about 11:00pm or so. Lastly, I'll be playing the Ruby Room San Diego on April 24th. We'll be taking video, I have a photographer, and it will all be posted on the facebook fan page. Come on out to the shows. Looking for big fan support, so I can come back to So Cal often. read more »
Northwest tour was a ripping success. Back home now, working on the Ample Mammal album. Thanks to all the fans/people that came out in Portland, Oregon, Seattle, Boise, and Park City. Also, thanks to the venues Rotture Pdx, Chop Suey, Visual Arts Collective, and 232 Woodside for allowing me to rage their premises. As an even bigger thank you, I have packed up all of my remixes released over 2008 - 09 and made them into a free downloadable album on my website!!! read more »
So, Portland and Seattle were conquered. Lotta folks showed up for both events. I'd estimate a hundred or so @ each....maybe more. Pretty bangin' for my first trip to the Northwest, especially since the Seattle show was on a Monday freakin' night. That's dedication right there. Both shows kicked arse in so many ways. We have an amazing video of the Portland show up on Facebook. read more »
Things have come together for the Portland and Seattle shows. I'll be sharing the stage with one of my favorite artists, Copy. If you haven't peeped his beats yet, you must. If you haven't bought his albums yet, you must do that as well. We'll be playing at the Supernature monthly at Roture in PDX on January 22nd. You can check the details on the facebook event. In Seattle, we'll be playing at Chop Suey, January 25th. read more »
The fine folks at NadaDada Motel have invited me to come up to Reno and rock the shit at their monthly party. The event will be at Amendment 21 on Friday December 18th. Here's the official invite. If you're from Reno, you're probably well aware of this establishment. If you're not, then search for it and figure it out, cuz I don't feel like linking it right now. read more »
There's not enough cool songs being played at weddings that qualify as wedding songs...you know "appropriate for all ages, upbeat subject matter, epic sounding synths." Here's my crack at a remedy to that situation. What happens when you merge "You're the Inspiration" by Chicago with some outerspace synth type shit? Maybe something like this. A perfect track to play during the birth of your newborn babe, a winning jam to bump when grandma asks you to dance at your cousin's wedding, a tasy groove to ring in Young Ismail's Bahmitzvah. Special thanks to Peter Cetera on this one. You are an inspiration to us all, and I ain't even playin. As always, join my facebook page to keep the remix fun alive.
It's only natural that outkast get up in the remix action. These are some of the more innovative cats in the spotlight today, but you already know that. Always impressed with what they bring to the table, which is why they get "the royal treatment." That sounded sexual. Here's the remix of Wheels of Steel. Completley different from the original, cut, diced, electrofied. with some boomin' bass. Hells. Yes.
It's time to give new life to an old classic. You know back in '02 when this joint got played on Hot 97, you closed all your car windows, blasted it through your Chevy Celebrity stock speakers and belted it out along with Usher. Was that just me? Doubtful. So, we sped things up. Some might even call this drum and bass, or more synth-pop-chiptune version of dnb, but drum and bass nonethtless. Download here. Enjoy.
